Directions to Gannabos Guest House – from Gauteng

General: Gannabos Guest House is situated at Gariep Eco Reserve, Venterstad district, in the Eastern Cape Karoo – About 50km from the Gariep Dam, on the way to Port Elizabeth

Route description

• Follow the N1 from Johannesburg via Bloemfontein
• Take exit to Gariep Dam, approx. 35 km to Colesberg
• Drive over the Gariep Dam’s embankment, and follow the road to Venterstad
• Approx. 3 km to Venterstad – turn right to Steynsburg
• Farm is located approx. 12km from the turnoff on the way to Steynsburg
• Turn left at the farm (large stone column on the left with farm logo – Gariep Eco Reserve – on the column, and signpost Badsfontein)
• Follow the dirt road for a few hundred yards to a smaller stone column on the right – again with the farm logo.
• Here you will punch in a gate code, provided by Erik ( 0766933477 ) after you confirmed your booking
• Drive in through the gate, go straight towards Gannabos Guesthouse 1km ahead.
• There are cell phone reception, wifi and internet access at the guesthouse.

Directions to Gannabos Guest House – from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)

Route description

• Follow the N10 from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) to Cradock
• Pass Paterson and Cookhouse way to Cradock
• At Cradock take the R390 to Hofmeyr
• Drive past Hofmeyr and take the road to Steynsburg (still the R390)
• The R390 ends in a T-junction
• Turn right onto the R56 Steynsburg. Drive through Steynsburg and turn left to Venterstad on the R56
• Approximately 52km from Steynsburg on the way to Venterstad -pay attention to the signboards, “Badsfontein and Gannabos on the left side of the road to turn right. There is also a large stone column with the farm logo, Gariep Eco Reserve, on it.
• Follow the dirt road for a few hundred yards to a smaller stone column on the right – again with the farm logo.
• Here you will punch in a gate code, provided by Erik ( 0766933477 ) after you confirmed your booking.
• Drive in through the gate, go straight towards Gannabos Guesthouse 1km ahead.
